Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
The Florida Real Estate Marketing Association is committed to making flrema.org accessible to all members and visitors, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
What we've done
- Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements are reachable by keyboard. A "Skip to content" link appears at the top of every page for screen-reader users.
- Semantic HTML. Pages use semantic landmarks (
<header>,<nav>,<main>,<footer>) and properly structured headings. - Form labels and ARIA. Form inputs have explicit labels. Form errors are announced to screen readers.
- Color contrast. We work to maintain a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
- Responsive design. The site adapts to a range of screen sizes from mobile through desktop.
- Alt text. Images include descriptive alternative text where they convey meaning.
Known issues we're working on
- The tabbed feature catalog on the AI Listing Description Generator does not yet support arrow-key navigation between tabs. We are adding this in a near-term release.
- Some color combinations in our branding (orange accent on navy backgrounds) approach but do not always meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast minimums for normal text. We are adjusting accent treatments to improve contrast.
- Focus indicators on some custom controls (tab strip, dropdown menu) rely on browser defaults; we are adding explicit
:focus-visiblestyling for consistency.

Third-party content
Some content on the Services is provided by third parties (e.g., AI-generated text from Anthropic Claude, embedded videos, third-party scripts such as Google reCAPTCHA). We do not control third-party accessibility, but we choose vendors who have stated accessibility commitments.
Ongoing review
Accessibility is a continuous effort, not a fixed destination. We periodically review the Services using both automated tools (axe DevTools, Lighthouse) and manual review. We update this statement as we make improvements.
Feedback
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the Services. Please share specific issues, suggestions, or general feedback at info@flrema.org.
Draft notice. This Accessibility Statement is a working draft prepared for attorney review. It has not been reviewed by counsel. The specific WCAG level claimed, the issues disclosed, and the response-time commitments should be reviewed before public launch.
